While the weather is nice and warm outside, there is one thing that can ruin a beautiful summer day – mosquitoes. Here are some tips to help avoid being bitten by the season’s most annoying pest.
- Wear protective clothing. While it may not be comfy and cool to wear long sleeved shirts or long pants during the summer, you’ll want to stay covered if you plan on spending a long day outdoors. The more skin that is covered, the less that will be bitten.
- Wear repellant. Use something that is at least 20% DEET. Alternatives include lemon eucalyptus oil and Picaridin.
- Use a mosquito net when camping or staying outdoors. This will keep them out of your space while you’re sleeping.
